Overview

PhishDestroy’s automated assessment classifies aigpttrader.com as a fake crypto exchange. The domain was first observed by PhishDestroy on 2026-10-20. The recorded page title reads “Reliable AI‑Powered Trading Platform. AI GPT Trader.”

How the scam works

Fake crypto exchanges mimic legitimate trading platforms to convince users to deposit funds or grant wallet permissions. Victims are instructed to send cryptocurrency to addresses controlled by the attacker, after which withdrawals are denied. The scheme relies on professional‑looking branding, such as AI references, to appear trustworthy.

Evidence

VirusTotal reported 19 detections out of 92 scanning engines on 2026-10-20, with vendors including BitDefender, ESET and others flagging the site. Google Safe Browsing checked on 2026-10-20 did not flag the domain. Spamhaus DBL listed the domain as spam on 2026-10-20. OTX recorded five pulses mentioning the domain on 2026-10-20, and PhishDestroy’s internal blocklist marks it as malicious while external blocklists returned zero hits.
