PhishDestroy threat report
7196285268.pages.dev is a fake cryptocurrency airdrop page that impersonates Plume, presenting itself as a legitimate token claim event to lure crypto wallet holders. PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-09-13, only eight days after the domain was registered, suggesting it was built and deployed rapidly for a short campaign window. As of 2026-10-19 the site remains live and is actively serving its fraudulent content.
The page, titled "Plume Airdrop", presents visitors with a prompt to claim free Plume tokens, a classic social-engineering hook designed to create urgency and excitement. To "claim" the airdrop, users are directed to connect their crypto wallet, at which point the site either harvests wallet credentials, initiates a malicious signing request, or silently drains approved token balances. Victims typically lose whatever assets are held in the connected wallet, with no recourse once the transaction is signed.
Detection coverage is currently low: VirusTotal returned 2 flags out of 91 engines checked on 2026-09-27, with alphaMountain.ai and Forcepoint ThreatSeeker both flagging the domain as malicious. PhishDestroy has added it to its blocklist based on independent analysis of the page content and behaviour. Low vendor coverage at this stage is common for freshly deployed scam pages and does not reduce the confidence of the classification.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-05 through Cloudflare Pages, which provides free subdomain hosting under the pages.dev namespace and requires no traditional domain registration. The site is served from Cloudflare's network, resolving to an IP hosted in Canada, with a TLS certificate issued by Google Trust Services under the WE1 intermediate. The combination of free hosting and an automated certificate makes the site trivially cheap and fast to stand up.
If you visited the site but did not interact with any wallet prompt, no immediate action is required beyond avoiding the page. If you connected a wallet, revoke all token approvals immediately using a trusted approval-management tool, then transfer remaining assets to a fresh wallet address before the attacker can act. Report the site to Cloudflare's abuse team so the hosting can be suspended. Security teams and wallet providers should add 7196285268.pages.dev to their blocklists and alert users who may have been referred to it through social media or messaging platforms.
