PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

yanyol.com is a suspicious domain on the PhishDestroy blocklist. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-20. No impersonated brand or specific target has been identified. The page served a bare "404 Not Found" title. When last checked on 2026-10-19, its content was unreachable, so its current state could not be confirmed.

How the scam works

The page title shows an empty error page, not a recognizable phishing lure, while PhishDestroy has listed the domain as suspicious. Because the scheme behind it is not established, the risk lies in what a flagged domain can be used for. Domains like this are often reached through links in messages, ads or social posts, and they can later serve a fake login, wallet-connect prompt or download. A visitor who follows such a link and enters credentials, seed phrases or signs wallet requests can lose account access or funds.

Evidence

On 2026-09-21, VirusTotal showed 16 of 89 engines flagging the domain. That is a meaningful minority from independent vendors, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it so far.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-02-17, about seven months before PhishDestroy detected it. A long gap like this can mean the domain sat unused or ran quietly before drawing attention. It was registered through Cizgi Telekomunikasyon A.S. and hosted on the WERIDATA LLC network in Turkey, giving the setup a Turkish footprint at both layers. Its TLS certificate came from the R13 issuer, a free automated authority, so the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is trustworthy.

What to do

Do not open yanyol.com or follow links pointing to it, even if the page looks broken or empty. If you entered a password on it, change that password wherever you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a crypto wallet or signed anything there, revoke the approvals it received and move funds to a fresh wallet if a seed phrase was exposed. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP at the DNS and proxy layer. They should also search mail and web logs for prior visits and watch for the site coming back online with new content.
