PhishDestroy threat report
ww547.hcoinbase.com is a phishing page that poses as Coinbase, aimed at people who hold or trade crypto on that exchange. The domain is a lookalike: an extra "h" sits in front of the brand name, and a numbered subdomain is placed in front of that, so a quick glance reads as "coinbase". PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-13. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.
The page carries the bare title "coinbase" so that it looks like the real sign-in screen in a browser tab or search result. Coinbase impersonation pages typically ask for an email and password, then for the SMS or authenticator code. Some also request a recovery phrase under a pretext such as account verification. Whatever the victim types goes to the operators, who can then log in to the real account and move funds out before the owner notices.
When checked on 2026-09-21, 16 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as malicious. The flagging vendors include crypto-focused ChainPatrol alongside BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, CRDF and CyRadar. That spread of independent vendors, both crypto-specialist and mainstream, supports the impersonation classification. Among blocklists, it appears on PhishDestroy's.
The base domain hcoinbase.com was registered on 2019-12-30 through Media Elite Holdings Limited. That is almost seven years before PhishDestroy detected this subdomain. A lookalike name held that long suggests it was kept in reserve and reused, rather than registered for a single campaign. The site resolves to 34.160.121.137 on Google LLC's network in the US, and the numbered "ww547" label suggests other subdomains may exist under the same name.
If you entered your Coinbase password on this page, change it right away from the official app or a bookmarked address. Then sign out all other sessions and reset two-factor authentication, preferring an authenticator app or hardware key over SMS. Check your account activity, withdrawal addresses and API keys for anything you did not add, and contact Coinbase support if funds have moved. If you typed a recovery phrase anywhere on the page, treat that wallet as lost: create a new one and transfer any remaining assets immediately. Defenders should block the whole hcoinbase.com domain rather than this single subdomain, and alert users who may have reached it.
