This domain, wifince.com, posed as a secure cryptocurrency exchange called WiFince, claiming to allow trading of Bitcoin and altcoins. In reality, it was a phishing site designed to steal login credentials and possibly cryptocurrency assets from unsuspecting visitors. The site has since been taken offline, but users should remain vigilant.

The investigation revealed that wifince.com was registered on May 21, 2026, through Realtime Register B.V., and was flagged by 13 out of 95 security vendors on VirusTotal. It also appeared on one security blocklist and was hosted at IP address 172.67.137.235 with an SSL certificate issued by Let's Encrypt.
