PhishDestroy threat report
velvexstockmarket.com presents itself as "Velvex Stock market Fx" and promises "Safe investment" to people looking for returns on forex and crypto. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page and first flagged it on 2026-10-09. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving its content. The page title shows a self-branded investment platform, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Sites of this type look like a legitimate brokerage, with trading dashboards, account tiers and reassurances of safety, so visitors will open an account and fund it. Deposits usually go in cryptocurrency to addresses the operators control, and the balance on screen grows to encourage larger top-ups. When the victim tries to withdraw, new obstacles appear, such as "taxes", "verification" or "withdrawal fees" that must be paid first. Victims lose every deposit and any fee they pay, and any identity documents or login details they submitted can be reused.
urlscan.io rates the page malicious and tags it as a cryptoscam. On VirusTotal, 11 of 92 engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-13, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and Netcraft. That count is moderate, but it comes from several independent vendors. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users get warnings from more than one source. Three AlienVault OTX pulses also reference it.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-09-28, only eleven days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway domains set up for a single campaign. It is hosted on Interserver, Inc. in the United States and uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the platform is legitimate.
Do not deposit any more funds, and refuse any request for a "withdrawal fee", tax or unlock payment, because paying these never releases a balance. Record the transaction hashes, deposit addresses shown to you and all chat or email exchanges, then report them to your local police and to any exchange you used to send funds. If you uploaded ID documents or reused a password, change that password wherever it appears and watch for identity fraud. Be wary of "recovery" services that contact you, since they often target victims of the same scheme a second time. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and check logs for users who visited it.
