PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

v2-tronscan.net is an impersonation phishing site. Its name borrows "tronscan", the name of the TRON blockchain explorer, which makes it look like a newer version of a tool crypto users already trust. The page imitates Cloudflare and is aimed at cryptocurrency holders. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-27, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online, with its content sitting behind a protection layer.

How the scam works

Visitors see a page titled "Attention Required! | Cloudflare", copying the familiar security check that many legitimate sites show. A fake checkpoint like this makes people relax and click through, because it looks like routine bot protection instead of a phishing site. urlscan.io matched the page to generic crypto-themed phishing. Schemes of this kind usually push victims to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or enter a seed phrase, and any of these can hand over control of their funds. The page title shows a Cloudflare challenge, while we classify the site as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

VirusTotal shows 16 of 92 engines flagging the domain as of 2026-10-07. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar and Chong Lua Dao, a spread of independent vendors and not a single outlier. urlscan.io rates it malicious. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as phishing. Beyond PhishDestroy, it appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, both maintained by people focused on crypto security, and it is referenced in one AlienVault OTX pulse.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-03 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu and was caught 24 days later, so it went live and drew attention quickly. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. network space, geolocated to Canada. That reverse proxy hides the real origin server, which explains why the content only appears behind a protection screen.

What to do

If you only loaded the page, close it and do not return. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals for unfamiliar contracts with a trusted approval-checking tool, and move your remaining assets to a new wallet if you approved transfers. If you typed in a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and empty it into a freshly generated one right away. Reach TRON tools only through bookmarks you saved yourself. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and check logs for users who visited it.
