PhishDestroy threat report
usdt-claim.netlify.app is a fake token airdrop page that used Tether's USDT stablecoin as bait, targeting crypto holders hoping to collect free tokens. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-10 and classified it as a Fake Airdrop. The site has been offline since 2026-09-30. As of 2026-10-19 it was still dead, with no content served at the root.
The page presented itself as "USDT Claim - 10 Free USDT Related Token Claim Reward", promising a small, believable reward to anyone who stepped through the claim process. Schemes like this usually ask the visitor to connect a wallet and approve a transaction or sign a message to receive the tokens. That signature or approval actually grants the attacker permission to move the victim's assets, so the promised reward never arrives and the wallet is emptied. Some variants also ask for a seed phrase or a small "fee" to release the tokens, which hands over the funds directly.
VirusTotal recorded 9 detections out of 89 engines on 2026-09-20. The flagging vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky, Lionic and PhishFort. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain is listed on the ScamSniffer blocklist, which specializes in crypto phishing.
The site was a subdomain on Netlify's free hosting platform, with Netlify listed as the registrar. It resolved to 63.176.8.218 on Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in Germany. Its TLS certificate was issued by DigiCert Inc under the DigiCert Global G2 TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1 intermediate, which is standard for the platform. The padlock does not mean the page was legitimate.
If you connected a wallet to this page, review and revoke any token approvals or permissions you granted using a reputable approval checker. Move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as fully compromised and transfer whatever is left to a new wallet created with a new phrase immediately. Defenders should block the domain and watch for similar USDT claim lures on free hosting subdomains. Report new copies to PhishDestroy and the hosting platform's abuse team.
