PhishDestroy threat report
us-exodus.org is an impersonation phishing domain that poses as Exodus, the popular self-custodial crypto wallet. The "us-" prefix is meant to suggest an official regional site to Exodus users. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-14. On 2026-10-19 the domain was still online and serving a redirect.
Fake Exodus sites usually claim that the user needs to restore, verify, update or sync their wallet. The victim is then asked for their 12-word recovery phrase or wallet password. Anyone holding that phrase controls the wallet, so the attacker can empty every supported asset in it without further interaction. The page title we captured reads "Attention Required! | Cloudflare", which is a Cloudflare challenge screen, not Exodus-branded content. We classify the domain as Exodus impersonation regardless of that title.
Seven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-21: alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but more weight comes from the specialist crypto lists. MetaMask's blocklist and SEAL both carry the domain alongside PhishDestroy. Spamhaus lists it in its domain blocklist under the phishing category (DBL_PHISH). It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered on 2026-07-26 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu. That is about seven weeks before PhishDestroy detected it, a short life typical of disposable phishing domains. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. Its TLS certificate from Google Trust Services means visitors see a padlock icon, and that icon says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
If you typed your Exodus recovery phrase into this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a clean device and move any remaining funds there right away. If you entered only a password, change it and check the wallet for unfamiliar transactions. If you connected any Web3 wallet to the site, review and revoke token approvals you do not recognize. Exodus never asks for your recovery phrase through a website. Defenders should block us-exodus.org at the DNS and proxy level and watch for similar regional-prefix Exodus lookalikes.
