PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

uniswapnewfront.onrender.com is an impersonation phishing page that poses as a "new front end" for Uniswap, the decentralized exchange. It targets Uniswap users and other DeFi traders. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-07. As of 2026-10-19 the address was still live and redirecting visitors elsewhere, so it is still an active risk.

How the scam works

Fake Uniswap front ends copy the familiar swap interface and push the visitor to connect a wallet. They then request a token approval, a permit signature or a direct transfer that hands control of the victim's assets to the attacker. Some variants also ask for a seed phrase under the pretext of "syncing" or "fixing" the wallet. A single signature can empty every approved token balance, and on-chain transfers cannot be reversed. The page currently carries the title "Service Suspended", which differs from the Uniswap impersonation we classified.

Evidence

Ten of 89 VirusTotal engines flag the address as of 2026-09-16, including Google Safe Browsing, Kaspersky, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Lionic and alphaMountain.ai. That is a modest share, but it spans unrelated vendors with independent detection pipelines. Google Safe Browsing lists it as social engineering, which triggers warnings in most mainstream browsers. MetaMask's and SEAL's blocklists also include it alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users with those protections should see a warning before interacting.

Infrastructure

The page is a subdomain on Render, a cloud hosting platform with servers in the US. The 2015-03-28 registration date belongs to Render's shared onrender.com domain, not to the operator, who only needed a free deployment under a brand-flavored name. This kind of setup costs nothing and can be redeployed under a new name within minutes. The Google Trust Services certificate is issued automatically by the platform, so the padlock says nothing about the site's legitimacy.

What to do

If you connected a wallet here, review and revoke any token approvals or permits granted around the time of your visit using a reputable approval checker. Move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. If you typed a seed phrase, treat the wallet as compromised and transfer assets to a newly generated wallet immediately. Reach Uniswap only through a bookmarked official address. Defenders should block the subdomain, watch for similarly named Render deployments, and report it to Render's abuse team so it is taken down.
