PhishDestroy threat report
trustworldcryptofx.com presented itself as "Trustworld Cryptofx - Best Trading Platform", a polished front aimed at people looking to grow their crypto through online trading. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page and first flagged it on 2026-09-23. The site is now dead: its DNS stopped resolving and it has been offline since 2026-10-19. The page title advertises a trading service, while our classification is impersonation phishing. urlscan.io independently tagged the content as an investment scam.
Sites in this mould borrow the look and language of a legitimate brokerage, with dashboards, profit charts and promises of being the "best" platform, to convince visitors to open an account and deposit crypto. The balance shown after a deposit is usually fictitious and climbs to encourage larger top-ups. When the victim tries to withdraw, new obstacles appear, such as "taxes", "verification" or "withdrawal fees" that must be paid first. Anything sent to the platform, plus any personal or login details entered during signup, should be considered lost to the operators.
On 2026-10-07, 10 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including ESET, Kaspersky, Netcraft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest share, but it covers several unrelated vendors that reached the same conclusion. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict with an investment-scam brand match. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX pulses, which shows other researchers tracked it too, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-11 through Global Domain Group LLC, only 12 days before we detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway scam domains spun up for a single campaign. It was hosted on the FranTech Solutions network in Luxembourg and used a free Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock therefore proved only encryption, not legitimacy.
If you deposited funds, stop sending money, and above all do not pay any "withdrawal fee" or "tax" to release your balance, because those payments are part of the scam. Gather transaction IDs, wallet addresses you paid to and chat logs, then report them to your local police and to the exchange you sent funds from. Be wary of "recovery services" that contact you, since they often target the same victims a second time. If you reused a password on the site, change it elsewhere and enable two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the domain and use the registration and hosting details above to hunt for sibling trading-scam sites.
