PhishDestroy threat report
start-ledger.org is an impersonation phishing page that dresses itself in Cloudflare branding while its domain name borrows the word "ledger", a combination built to catch crypto users. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-11. The site has been offline since 2026-09-23, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.
The page carried the title "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which mimics the interstitial warning Cloudflare shows on flagged sites. A trusted security brand lowers a visitor's guard, so whatever the page asks next feels like a routine check. Pages of this type then push visitors toward a wallet connection, a seed phrase prompt or a copied command, and the result is stolen credentials or drained funds. The title shows a Cloudflare "Suspected Phishing" notice, and we classified the domain as impersonation phishing.
Sixteen of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-20. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar and Chong Lua Dao. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and recognised generic Cloudflare branding on the page. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing. Both MetaMask and the SEAL blocklist carry it alongside PhishDestroy, which shows wallet-security teams saw it as a crypto threat. The domain also appears in 15 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered on 2026-08-06 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu, 36 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain bought and then put to use for a short campaign. It resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada, so the page impersonated the same provider that fronted it. Its TLS certificate came from Google Trust Services (WE1), which put a padlock in the browser bar but says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
If you connected a wallet on this site, revoke any token approvals it obtained and move your assets to a fresh wallet. If you typed a recovery phrase into it, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer everything out immediately. Anyone who entered a password should change it and turn on app-based 2FA. Be wary of any "Cloudflare" check that asks you to paste a command or sign a transaction, because real Cloudflare checks never do. Defenders should block the domain, search DNS and proxy logs for visits between 2026-08-06 and 2026-09-23, and alert on lookalike pages that use Cloudflare warning titles.

An estimated time describes an observation window. It does not prove a registrar action or the exact moment a site became unavailable.
Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
