PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

stakopro.org is a crypto impersonation phishing site that presents itself under the name STAKO. It is aimed at cryptocurrency users who may connect a wallet or send funds, believing they are using a legitimate platform. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-16, and on 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page uses the STAKO name to pass as a real crypto service. Sites of this type ask visitors to connect a wallet, approve transactions or deposit funds, often with a promise of yield or rewards. A wallet signature or approval can give the operators the ability to move tokens directly. Money deposited into the platform is controlled entirely by the scammers. Either way, the victim's losses are usually permanent.

Evidence

On 2026-10-16, none of the 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. That clean result means a visitor relying on standard scanners would get no warning. Other sources disagree with that result. urlscan.io gave the page a malicious verdict and tagged it as a crypto scam. The domain is listed on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists as well as PhishDestroy's, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-13, only three days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway scam domains that are set up quickly and abandoned after takedown. Registration is through Cloudflare, Inc., and traffic is served via Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada. Because Cloudflare acts as a front, the actual origin server is not visible to visitors.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet to stakopro.org or deposit anything there. If you already connected, use a token-approval checker to review and revoke any permissions you granted, then move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. If you sent funds, keep the transaction hashes and report them to your wallet provider and local authorities. Do not pay any 'unlock' or 'withdrawal' fee, because these are a common second-stage extraction. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and should not treat the zero VirusTotal score as proof the site is safe.
