PhishDestroy threat report
slon6.net is an impersonation phishing site. It passed itself off as a legitimate service so visitors would trust it with their information, and its Russian-language page title suggests it was aimed at Russian-speaking users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-10-13, and a check on 2026-10-19 found it dead with no threatening content.
Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a brand people already trust, such as a login portal, wallet interface or support page. The victim then types credentials, recovery details or payment information into what seems to be the real thing, and the operators collect it to take over accounts or move funds. The page title read "Один момент…" ("One moment…"), which is a generic loading or verification screen rather than branded content, while we classified the site as impersonation phishing.
On 2026-09-11, six of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a small share of engines. Still, these vendors work independently of one another and of PhishDestroy, so their verdicts back up our classification. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, meaning other researchers tracked it as well. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it.
The domain was registered through Edomains LLC on 2026-02-16, roughly six and a half months before we detected it. A domain that sits unused for months before it starts phishing can get past filters that treat newly registered domains as suspicious. The site resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. address space, with Canada as the listed location, so the network in front of it hid the real origin server. It used a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt certificate, which put a padlock in the browser bar but says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
If you entered a password on slon6.net, change it right away on the genuine service. Also change it on any other account where you reused it, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. Review recent logins and active sessions, sign out devices you don't recognize, and watch for follow-up messages that pretend to come from the same brand. If you entered card or banking details, contact your bank to block the card. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, search logs for visits after 2026-02-16, and reset credentials for any user who reached the page.
