PhishDestroy threat report
secretcryptos.biz presented itself as "Crypto Mixer & Exchange — SecretCryptos", copying the identity of a coin-mixing and swap service. It targeted people who want to hide the trail of their cryptocurrency or exchange it without an account. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-17, just four days after the domain was registered. The site has been offline since 2026-09-23, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.
Fake mixers rely on the fact that mixing is meant to be one-way and untraceable. The victim is given a deposit address and told that cleaned coins, minus a service fee, will arrive at a fresh wallet after a delay. On an impersonation site those coins never come back. Because the victim expected a wait and an untraceable transfer, the theft often goes unnoticed until the operator has already moved the funds. The exchange side of the page works the same way: crypto is sent in and nothing is returned.
On 2026-09-19, 6 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it is typical for a site that only went live days earlier, and the flagging vendors work independently of each other. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and matched it to a generic crypto brand template. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-13 through Global Domain Group LLC. It was caught four days later and went dark ten days after registration, a short lifespan that fits a throwaway phishing domain. It was hosted in Germany on the DEDIK SERVICES LIMITED network. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gave it a browser padlock, which shows only that the connection was encrypted, not that the operator was legitimate.
If you sent coins to a deposit address shown on this site, treat them as lost. Do not send more for "release", "verification" or "processing" fees. Save the transaction hashes and the address, and report them to the exchange that sent the funds and to your local cybercrime unit. Ignore anyone who offers paid recovery of mixed funds, because these offers are a common follow-up scam. Defenders should keep blocking the domain and its hosting address in DNS filters and proxies, since inactive phishing domains are sometimes brought back online.
