reset-link-x.com is an impersonation phishing page. Its name suggests an account or password reset link, a lure aimed at people who expect to recover access to a service, including crypto wallet users. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-08. The site went offline on 2026-09-21, and as of 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolves.
How the scam works
Reset-themed phishing usually arrives as an urgent message saying an account is locked, compromised or needs to be verified. The message points to a page made to look like the real service. The victim is then asked to sign in, confirm personal details or "restore" a wallet, which hands credentials, 2FA codes or a recovery phrase straight to the operator. The page title showed "porkbun.com | domain for sale", a domain parking banner, while our classification is an impersonation phishing page.
Evidence
Thirteen of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-21. Vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Google Safe Browsing. Google Safe Browsing separately lists it under SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, and Spamhaus DBL lists it as DBL_PHISH. MetaMask and SEAL both block it, which shows crypto-focused defenders treat it as a threat to their users. Three AlienVault OTX pulses reference it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Porkbun LLC on 2025-08-23, more than a year before PhishDestroy flagged it. That gap points to a name that was bought and held before it was used. The site was hosted on Amazon.com, Inc. network space in the US at 207.207.210.107.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it at once on the real service and on any other account that uses the same password. Then reset your 2FA and sign out all active sessions. If you typed a wallet recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet with a fresh phrase. Be wary of any later "reset" or "verification" messages, and open services only through bookmarks you saved yourself. Defenders should block the domain and the IP above, and search mail and proxy logs from 2026-09-08 onward for users who clicked reset-style links pointing to it.
