PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

pusulaonline.com is an impersonation phishing site built around the name "Pusula". It is designed to look like a legitimate service so that visitors trust it with their details. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-23. When we last checked on 2026-10-19, the site was still online and serving live content. The page title shows a default WordPress blog heading, "Pusula - My WordPress Blog", while our classification is impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow a familiar name and look so that visitors believe they are dealing with the real organisation. The visitor is then asked to log in, verify an account, or submit personal or payment information, and everything typed into the page goes straight to the operators. Here the site runs on WordPress under the Pusula name. That lets the operators swap content quickly while keeping the brand-like domain as the lure. Victims typically lose account access, personal data, or money sent on the false belief that they are paying the genuine service.

Evidence

On 2026-10-03, 15 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as malicious. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, Gridinsoft, CyRadar and Chong Lua Dao. Agreement across that many unrelated vendors makes a false positive unlikely. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tracked it independently. PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-03-28, almost six months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a site that was set up early and turned into a lure later. It was registered through Atak Domain and is hosted on the GNET Internet Telekomunikasyon A.S. network in Turkey. Registrar and hosting are both Turkish, which suggests the operation is aimed at a Turkish-speaking audience. The free Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a padlock icon, but that proves nothing about its legitimacy.

What to do

If you entered a password on this site, change it right away, along with the password on any other account that reuses it. Then turn on two-factor authentication. If you submitted card or bank details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Watch for follow-up messages that claim to come from Pusula, because the operators may use your stolen details for further scams. Security teams should block the domain and the hosting IP at their DNS and web proxies, and check their logs for visits by internal users.

How do phishing scams typically work?
  • 虚假网站 — 与正规网站完全一致的克隆网站，仅域名略有改动
  • 猪的屠宰 — 通过Telegram/WhatsApp/交友软件花数周时间建立信任，随后钱被骗走
  • 退款诈骗 — 诈骗者冒充资金追回机构并索要预付费用。在独立核实服务方之前，切勿分享助记词或付款
