How the scam works
Sites like this present themselves as a local, cheaper way to buy Netflix access, priced for the Bangladeshi market. The page title frames it as a regional pricing and subscription page. In practice, impersonation pages of this kind collect payment and personal details, and often a Netflix email and password "to activate the plan". Victims can lose the money they pay, have their card or mobile-wallet details misused, or have their streaming account taken over. A reseller-style title can look like an ordinary local shop, but we classify this domain as brand impersonation.
Evidence
On 2026-10-03, nine of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That is a modest share of engines, but the vendors are independent of each other and span several security sectors. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. Among blocklists, PhishDestroy currently lists it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2023-12-08, almost three years before we detected it. That long runway suggests an established storefront rather than a throwaway domain. It is hosted on Ummah Host BD in Bangladesh, the same country as its target audience. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the padlock icon but does not show who runs the site.
What to do
If you paid prozonebd.com, contact your bank or mobile-financial-service provider right away to dispute the charge, and block the card if you entered its details. If you typed in Netflix login details, change your Netflix password and sign out of all devices from your account settings. Change the same password anywhere else you reused it. Buy Netflix only through Netflix itself or a carrier or partner it officially lists. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and web proxies and report it to Netflix's brand-protection team.
