PhishDestroy threat report
promo-settings.pro is an impersonation phishing page. Its name pairs a giveaway hook with an account-maintenance theme to lure crypto users into treating it as an official page. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-24. On 2026-10-19 the domain was still alive and redirecting visitors elsewhere, so the lure remains active.
Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a service people already trust. They then ask the victim to "claim" a promo or "update" settings by signing in, entering a recovery phrase, or approving a request. Anything typed into the page goes straight to the operators, who use it to take over the real account or empty the wallet. The page title shows only "Loading…", a placeholder that reveals no brand, while we classified the site as impersonation phishing. The redirect means the domain works as a gateway that forwards visitors to the content the operators choose.
On 2026-10-03, 13 of 91 VirusTotal engines marked the domain malicious. The flagging vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors are independent of each other and of PhishDestroy. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well. PhishDestroy lists it on our own blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-08-17 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com. It was in use and caught 38 days later, a short span that is typical of disposable phishing domains. It resolves to 188.114.96.3 on Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada. That address is a Cloudflare edge, so the server actually hosting the content is hidden behind the proxy. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WE1), which only means the padlock is present and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
If you signed in through this page, change that password immediately, along with any other account that reuses it. Turn on app-based 2FA and log out all active sessions. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, treat the wallet as compromised and move your remaining funds to a newly created wallet. Never claim promotions or change account settings through a link. Open the service directly instead. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and search logs for visits since 2026-08-17. Abuse reports can go to Cloudflare and Trustname.com.

An estimated time describes an observation window. It does not prove a registrar action or the exact moment a site became unavailable.
Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
