PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

osarc.ai is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself under the page title "ARC". It borrows the name of a legitimate project to look like an official destination and targets crypto users who follow that brand. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-02. As of 2026-10-19 it was still online and redirecting visitors elsewhere, so the lure remains active.

How the scam works

Sites like this rely on a familiar name, here "ARC", and a plausible ".ai" domain to convince visitors they have reached the real project. Victims usually arrive through social posts, replies or ads promising access, rewards or a launch. Once trust is established, the page asks for an action that hands over control. That can be connecting a wallet and signing a transaction, entering a recovery phrase, or submitting login details. Anything signed or typed on such a page should be treated as compromised.

Evidence

Nine of 90 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain by 2026-09-04, including Kaspersky, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but these are independent, established vendors. The domain is also listed by MetaMask and SEAL, two blocklists focused on crypto threats, which matters for anyone using a browser wallet. Spamhaus lists it in its domain blocklist under the phishing category, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-06-13 through InternetX, about 81 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the domain was prepared ahead of the campaign rather than spun up on the day. The site is served from 76.76.21.21 in the United States. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser shows only that the connection is encrypted, not that the site is genuine.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to osarc.ai, use a token-approval checker to review and revoke any permissions you granted, then move remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you typed a recovery phrase there, treat that wallet as lost and transfer funds immediately to a new seed. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based 2FA. Reach ARC only through links you already trust, never through promoted posts or direct messages. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level and add it to wallet and email filtering.

How do phishing scams typically work?

  • 虚假网站 — 与正规网站完全一致的克隆网站，仅域名略有改动
  • 猪的屠宰 — 通过Telegram/WhatsApp/交友软件花数周时间建立信任，随后钱被骗走
  • 退款诈骗 — 诈骗者冒充资金追回机构并索要预付费用。在独立核实服务方之前，切勿分享助记词或付款
