PhishDestroy threat report
moleystonecaps.com presents itself as the online home of "MOLEY STONE BANK PLC", greeting visitors with a bank-style welcome page. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at people who believe they are dealing with a legitimate bank, whether as account holders or as prospective customers. We first flagged it on 2026-10-02. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the host was still responding but the domain's DNS was inactive, so the page may not load by name. It could return at any time.
The page title reads "Welcome to | MOLEY STONE BANK PLC", with a visible gap where a name should appear. That kind of gap is typical of a reused template rather than a real institution's site. Fake bank portals of this kind usually ask visitors to log in to online banking, open an account or submit identity documents for verification. Some then demand deposits or "transfer fees" before funds can supposedly be released. Victims lose their login credentials, personal and identity data, and any money they send to the fake bank.
When we checked on 2026-10-02, 10 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. Named detections came from alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky, LevelBlue and Lionic. That is modest coverage, but several of these are mainstream consumer antivirus products, so many users will see a warning. The domain also appears in one AlienVault OTX threat pulse. Among public blocklists, it is currently listed by PhishDestroy.
The domain was registered on 2025-08-14 through OwnRegistrar, Inc., more than a year before we detected it. That gap suggests it was held in reserve or used quietly before this campaign surfaced. It is hosted on the Aquiryn LLC network in the US. Its certificate is a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt one, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about who runs the site.
If you entered a username, password or one-time code here, change that password immediately wherever you reuse it and enable two-factor authentication. If you submitted ID documents or personal details, watch for identity fraud and consider a credit freeze. If you sent money or paid a "fee", contact your real bank at once to try to stop or recall the transfer. Report it to your national fraud authority. Never pay further charges promised to unlock funds. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP in web filters, and search mail logs for messages pointing users to it.
