Overview

mixer-list.com calls itself "Mixer List — Best Bitcoin Mixers 2026 | Compare Crypto Tumblers" and targets people looking for a service to obscure the trail of their Bitcoin. PhishDestroy classifies it as impersonation phishing and first flagged it on 2026-09-05. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving live content.

How the scam works

Fake mixer directories present a ranked list of tumblers. Some of those listings point to look-alike copies of real services or to operations that only pretend to mix. The visitor sends Bitcoin to a deposit address shown on the imitation, expecting clean coins back after a delay, and nothing ever returns. Mixer users are attractive targets because they rarely report losses and blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. The page title presents a neutral comparison guide, while our classification places the site in the impersonation category.

Evidence

Five of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain at the 2026-10-19 check: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, so many browsers and filters will not warn visitors yet. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tracked it independently. Among blocklists, it is currently listed only by PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-04 through Fewmoretaps OU, which trades as Trustname.com. PhishDestroy detected it about a month later, a typical gap for a site that needs time to build search visibility before collecting deposits. The site sits behind Cloudflare, and its address geolocates to Canada. Because of that front, the actual origin server is not exposed.

What to do

Do not send any funds to a mixer you reached through this list. If you already did, record the deposit address, transaction IDs and the times of each transfer. Report them to your local cybercrime authority and to any exchange the coins may pass through, since that is the only realistic route to tracing them. Treat follow-up offers to "recover" lost coins for a fee as a second scam. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to phishing feeds. They should also watch for sibling directory sites registered around the same time.
