Overview

long8-yahoo.com.cn is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as the sole official website of Long8, an online gaming brand. It targets Chinese-speaking players looking for the genuine Long8 platform. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page title reads "龙八(头号玩家)唯一官方网站", meaning "Long8 (Top Player) – the only official website." Claiming to be the single legitimate site is a common tactic to make a copycat look trustworthy and to make the real brand's warnings seem like confusion. The domain also adds an unrelated well-known name to borrow credibility. Sites like this typically collect account credentials, personal details and deposits. Visitors can lose their login, the money they send, and control over any reused passwords.

Evidence

How do phishing scams typically work?

  • 虚假网站 — 与正规网站完全一致的克隆网站，仅域名略有改动
  • 猪的屠宰 — 通过Telegram/WhatsApp/交友软件花数周时间建立信任，随后钱被骗走
