PhishDestroy threat report
kucoindeep.com is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the KuCoin name to lure people who trade on that exchange. The domain pairs the real brand with an extra word, a common trick to look like an official subdomain or a special KuCoin service. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-15. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the site was still online and serving its content.
Fake exchange pages like this copy the look of a real trading platform and invite visitors to sign in. Anything typed into the form, including the email, password and one-time 2FA code, goes straight to the operators, who can then log in to the real account and withdraw its balance. Some variants also show a fake balance and ask for a deposit or a "verification" payment before funds can be released, and that money is never returned. The page title reads "OSL", the name of a different crypto exchange, while our classification identifies the site as a KuCoin impersonation.
Eleven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-23. They include BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai, so several major security vendors detected it independently. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and tagged it as a crypto scam. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing. MetaMask and SEAL block it alongside PhishDestroy, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.
The domain was registered on 2026-06-23, about twelve weeks before we detected it. Domains are often registered early like this so they can sit unused for a while before a campaign starts. Registration runs through Cloudflare, Inc. The site resolves to Cloudflare's network with a Canadian geolocation, which means the visible address belongs to the proxy, not the server that actually hosts the page.
If you entered KuCoin credentials on this site, change your password from the official app right away. Reset your 2FA, review active sessions and API keys, and check your withdrawal address whitelist. If you sent a deposit or "verification fee", do not send more money to unlock it. Report the transaction to KuCoin support and keep the payment details for a police report. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and warn users that real KuCoin login pages never appear on look-alike domains.
