PhishDestroy threat report
icccsupport.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself under the banner "FUNDS RECOVERY", posing as a support desk that can get stolen crypto back. It targets people who have already been scammed and are searching for help. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its recovery pitch.
Recovery scams pick up where the first fraud left off. The site claims an official-sounding authority or support team can trace and return lost funds, then asks for upfront payments framed as filing fees, taxes, or unlocking charges. Victims often hand over identity documents, account details, and sometimes wallet seed phrases. The money paid is lost, the personal data can be reused for further fraud, and no recovery ever happens.
Nine of 89 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-09-20. Named vendors include ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE, a mix of crypto-focused and general web filters reaching the same verdict. MetaMask and SEAL list it alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users and the security community are already warned. Spamhaus carries it in its domain blocklist as phishing, and three AlienVault OTX pulses reference it.
The domain was registered on 2025-07-08 through OwnRegistrar, Inc., more than a year before it came to our attention. That long gap suggests it was registered in advance or used quietly before this campaign surfaced. It resolves to 45.14.224.235 on OVH SAS address space, geolocated to the Netherlands. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about legitimacy.
Do not pay any fee, tax, or deposit this site or its contacts request, and stop all communication with them. A real recovery never starts with an upfront charge. If you already paid, contact your bank or card issuer immediately and report the loss to police with every message and transaction ID. If you shared a seed phrase or private key, move your remaining assets to a new wallet at once. If you sent ID documents, watch for identity misuse. Defenders should block the domain and its IP and warn users that "recovery" offers following a scam are a common second hit.
