Overview

hyperliquid-en.com is an impersonation phishing page built around Hyperliquid, the layer-1 perpetuals exchange, and aimed at traders who connect wallets to trade on it. The "-en" suffix is meant to look like an official English-language mirror, which the real project does not need. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-13. As of 2026-10-19 the domain still resolves, but its page content no longer loads.

How the scam works

The page carried the title "Hyperliquid: A Data-Driven Analysis of the L1 Perps Exchange". That reads like a research article rather than a trading interface, while we classify the site as brand impersonation. Lookalike Hyperliquid domains typically use familiar branding and content to earn trust, then steer visitors toward connecting a wallet, signing a transaction or entering recovery details. A signature or approval given on such a page can let the operator move the visitor's tokens or open positions. Victims lose the assets the attacker can reach, and a disclosed seed phrase gives up the entire wallet.

Evidence

Independent sources back the classification. On 2026-09-20, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar and Chong Lua Dao. Spamhaus lists it in its domain blocklist under the phishing category. The wallet-security blocklists that matter most here, MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL, list it alongside PhishDestroy. Eight AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, so other researchers have tracked it as well.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-20 through Fewmoretaps OU, which trades as Trustname.com. It was flagged 24 days later, which fits a short-lived lure set up for a single campaign. It is hosted on SWISSNET LLC's network in the Netherlands at 217.60.195.241. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this site, check which spenders and permissions you granted and revoke them with a token-approval checker. Move your funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you typed in a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer whatever remains immediately. Reach Hyperliquid only through addresses you have bookmarked yourself, not through search results or links in messages. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP, and alert staff and users who trade perpetuals on Hyperliquid.
