PhishDestroy threat report
hardclosesoftware.com presents itself as "hardclose — construction ERP by TC Software LLC," a business software product aimed at construction firms. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page that borrows this product identity to win the trust of visitors. We first flagged it on 2026-10-04. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content. The page title shows a construction software vendor, and our classification is impersonation phishing.
Impersonation pages copy the name, look and wording of a real or plausible company so visitors treat them as an official portal. A visitor expecting a product login, demo signup or download is asked for work credentials, contact details or other sensitive input, and that information goes to the operators. Because the domain also appears on MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, visitors may be pushed toward a wallet connection or signature request. A malicious approval can let attackers move tokens out of the connected wallet.
On 2026-10-07, 12 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL under the phishing category. MetaMask and SEAL list it alongside PhishDestroy, which means wallet-focused defenders have independently judged it dangerous. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it as well.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-10, just 24 days before we detected it. That short gap is typical of a site set up for a campaign rather than a long-running business. It is registered through Cloudflare, Inc. and sits behind Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the origin server. Its TLS certificate from Google Trust Services (WE1) is issued automatically, so the browser padlock says nothing about who runs the site.
If you entered a password on this site, change it right away. Do the same on any service where you reused it, and turn on app-based 2FA. If you downloaded anything presented as hardclose software, do not run it, and scan the device. If you connected a wallet or signed a request, revoke the approvals granted to unfamiliar contracts with a token-approval checker, and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the mail gateway. They should also warn construction and finance staff about lookalike ERP sites and report the domain to Cloudflare's abuse channel.
