PhishDestroy threat report
floatup.pro presents itself as "FloatUP", a Russian-language Counter-Strike 2 skin-upgrade site that promises a "fair upgrade and withdrawal to Steam." It trades on the CS2 brand to attract players and skin traders who want to gamble low-value items for better ones. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
Skin-upgrade sites ask players to deposit inventory items or funds, then "upgrade" them into a pricier skin through a spin with stated odds. Fraudulent versions push victims to sign in through Steam, often via a lookalike login window that captures credentials and Steam Guard codes. Once inside, attackers can hijack the account, move its inventory through trade offers, or create a Steam Web API key that silently intercepts future trades. The promised "withdrawal to Steam" is the lure. In practice, deposited skins and anything left in a compromised account are at risk.
On 2026-10-19, VirusTotal showed 5 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a small share of engines, but the flagging vendors work independently of one another. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well. Among blocklists it is currently listed by PhishDestroy, which leaves many browsers and filters without a warning.
The domain was registered on 2026-07-27 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, about 40 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That is a short runway typical of throwaway scam domains. Traffic is served through Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada. This means the real origin server is hidden behind the proxy.
If you signed in to Steam through this site, change your Steam password and email password right away. Then use "Deauthorize all other devices" and confirm that Steam Guard is active on your own phone. Check the Steam Web API key page and revoke any key you did not create, then cancel unfamiliar pending trade offers. Treat any skins or money deposited here as lost, and if you paid by card, ask your bank about a chargeback. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, warn gaming communities, and report it to Cloudflare and the registrar for takedown.

Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
