How the scam works
Lookalike domains for blockchain projects usually copy the official look and steer visitors to an action that hands over control of their assets. That action is typically connecting a wallet to approve a malicious transaction, or typing a recovery phrase into a fake "sync" or "claim" form. Either way, the victim can lose the tokens in the affected wallet, often in minutes and with no way to reverse it. The page title showed only "Just a moment...", a generic loading interstitial, rather than Flare branding, while our classification rests on the impersonating domain and third-party detections.

Six of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-11. They are ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Seclookup and SOCRadar. The domain is also on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy's, so wallet users running those protections would see a warning. Two AlienVault OTX pulses reference it as well.

The domain was registered on 2026-06-13 through Global Domain Group LLC, about 84 days before PhishDestroy caught it. That lead time fits a domain held in reserve before going live. Traffic resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. The certificate came from Google Trust Services (WE1), a routine automated issuance that gave the site a padlock without saying anything about legitimacy.
What to do
