PhishDestroy threat report
fifaworldcups26.com uses a World Cup name to lure fans, then presents itself as Ticketmaster. It targets people searching for 2026 tournament tickets who expect an official sales channel. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-12. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online with its phishing content live.
The page is titled simply "Access", the kind of gate a ticket buyer expects before reaching a queue or account area. A visitor who believes they are on Ticketmaster is asked to sign in or prove their identity. Anything entered goes to the operators instead: Ticketmaster login details, often personal data, and in many ticket scams card details for a "reservation". A hijacked ticketing account can be used to resell or transfer real tickets, and stolen cards are charged directly. Pairing a famous event with a trusted ticketing brand is designed to make the request feel routine during high-demand sales.
On 2026-09-20, 15 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Chong Lua Dao, CRDF, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and Fortinet. That is a solid cross-vendor consensus for a phishing page. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and independently recognised Ticketmaster branding on it, which confirms the impersonation. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-03-06 through Global Domain Group LLC, roughly six months before PhishDestroy detected it. Registering an event-themed name well before ticket demand peaks lets it age past filters that distrust brand-new domains. The site sits behind Cloudflare, Inc. with a Canadian address, which hides the real origin server. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WE1), so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted, not that the seller is genuine.
If you signed in on this page, change your Ticketmaster password right away and change it anywhere else you reused it. Turn on two-factor authentication and check your account for transferred or listed tickets. If you entered card details, call your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Buy World Cup tickets only through official channels you open yourself. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and web proxies, flag it in email and chat filters around ticketing campaigns, and report it to Ticketmaster and Cloudflare for takedown.
