PhishDestroy threat report
capitalyog.com presents itself as the "Capital Trading Platform," a fraudulent cryptocurrency exchange designed to deceive retail investors and crypto traders. PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-09-29, just five days after the domain was registered, and the site remains fully live as of 2026-10-19. It targets anyone seeking to trade or invest in cryptocurrency, luring them into depositing real funds onto a platform that has no intention of honoring withdrawals.
Fake exchange scams work by mimicking the look and feel of a legitimate trading platform, offering attractive returns or low fees to encourage users to deposit cryptocurrency or fiat. Once funds are deposited, victims find they cannot withdraw — the platform invents fees, taxes or verification hurdles, or simply goes dark. In some cases the site also harvests login credentials and personal identification documents submitted during fake KYC processes. Everything deposited is lost.
Eight of 91 engines on VirusTotal flagged capitalyog.com as malicious as of 2026-10-01, with detections from alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar — a strong cross-vendor consensus for a domain this young. urlscan.io independently returned a malicious verdict and tagged it as a cryptoscam. The domain appears on three blocklists: PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL, meaning major wallet software is already warning users away from it.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-24 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. and was weaponized within days. It is hosted on Cloudflare's network, with the server located in Canada, and uses a Let's Encrypt TLS certificate issued under the YE2 authority — a free, automated certificate that adds a padlock without implying any legitimacy.
If you visited the site without submitting any information, no immediate action is needed beyond avoiding it entirely. If you created an account, deposited funds or submitted identity documents, treat those credentials as compromised — change any reused passwords immediately and report the fraud to your local financial regulator and to your bank or payment provider if fiat was involved. Cryptocurrency deposits sent to this platform should be considered unrecoverable; file a report with your national cybercrime unit regardless. Security teams should block capitalyog.com at the DNS and firewall level and ensure it is propagated across threat-intelligence feeds.

Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
