bitmart-cex.cc is a phishing domain built to pass as BitMart, the centralized crypto exchange. The "cex" in the name is meant to make it look like an official exchange address to BitMart customers. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-14. The site went offline on 2026-10-15 and was still dead with no DNS resolution when checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Exchange impersonation pages copy the real platform's login flow so traders type in their email, password and one-time 2FA codes. The operators then replay those details on the genuine exchange to empty the account. Some variants also show fake deposit addresses or demand "verification" payments, so victims send crypto straight to the scammers. The page title at detection read "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's warning screen rather than BitMart-branded content, while our classification covers the impersonation page behind it.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and recognized BitMart branding on it, which directly supports the impersonation call. On VirusTotal, 4 of 92 engines flagged it on 2026-10-14: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, DNS8 and SOCRadar. That is a low count, typical for a domain caught within days of going live, so many filters would not yet have blocked it. Four AlienVault OTX pulses reference the domain, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist. The Cloudflare warning title shows the network had flagged it as well.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2026-10-08, only six days before PhishDestroy detected it, and it was offline a day after that. This short launch-and-burn cycle is common for exchange phishing that depends on a burst of traffic from ads or messages. It sat behind Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, which conceals the real origin server.
What to do
If you entered BitMart credentials on this site, change your BitMart password at once, reset 2FA, and sign out all active sessions from the real app. Check withdrawal history and whitelisted addresses, and contact BitMart support if anything changed. Do not send any "unlock" or "verification" payment requested afterward. Always reach BitMart through a saved bookmark or the official app. Defenders should block bitmart-cex.cc and watch for lookalike registrations pairing "bitmart" with terms like "cex" or "exchange".
