PhishDestroy threat report
bestchoiceoption.com is an impersonation phishing site. It poses as a legitimate service so visitors trust it with credentials, personal details or money. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-26. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the domain was still online and serving content behind access protection. The page carries the title "New Private Tab", a generic browser-style label rather than a branded name. That label does not match our impersonation classification, which is based on how the site presents itself to victims.
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a service the victim already uses, so nothing seems out of place. Visitors usually arrive through ads, search results, messages or redirects. They are then asked to sign in, verify an account, enter recovery details or complete a payment. Anything typed into the form goes straight to the operators. They can use it to take over accounts, empty balances or run follow-up fraud against the same person.
On 2026-10-03, 6 of 91 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Netcraft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. Six detections is a modest count. However, these vendors focus on phishing and web threats and reached their verdicts independently. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it too. Among the blocklists covered here, only PhishDestroy lists it so far, so many browsers and filters may not yet warn users.
The domain was registered on 2026-03-25 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu, about six months before PhishDestroy detected it. Holding a domain that long before it surfaces can help it avoid filters that distrust newly registered names. The site is hosted in the United States on the Aquiryn LLC network. It uses a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about who runs the site.
If you entered a password on this site, change it right away on the real service and on any account that shares it. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication and sign out of all active sessions. If you gave card or bank details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Watch for follow-up emails or calls that cite what you submitted. Security teams should block bestchoiceoption.com at DNS and proxy level and search logs for past visits. Treat any credentials linked to those visits as compromised.
