Overview

PhishDestroy’s AI intake on 2026-10-23 classified bank-of-china.ws as malicious because the domain mimics the Bank of China brand while the recorded page shows a generic parked layout with unrelated categories and a ParkLogic.com copyright notice. The site was first seen by PhishDestroy on 2026-10-23, returned HTTP 200 with the title “Redirecting…”, and the page excerpt listed categories such as Movies, Communication, Education, etc.

How the scam works

In brand‑impersonation scams, attackers register domains that copy the name of a reputable financial institution and initially host a placeholder page. The placeholder can later be swapped for a credential‑harvesting page that asks users to log in, leveraging the trusted brand to trick victims.

Evidence

VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-10-10 (analysis date) and reported 0 malicious detections out of 92 engines.
