PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

bagsfumbled.co is a live crypto wallet drainer site that targets cryptocurrency holders. The page presents itself under the title "Bags Fumbled — See what you left on the table," framing itself as a tool for users to recover or review missed crypto gains. PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-09-11, and as of 2026-10-18 the site remains fully active with live content.

How the scam works

Wallet drainers work by prompting visitors to connect their crypto wallet, typically through a familiar-looking interface that requests broad transaction approvals. Once the victim signs a malicious approval or transaction, the drainer contract silently transfers tokens and assets out of the wallet to attacker-controlled addresses. The site's tagline — "See what you left on the table" — is designed to create curiosity or urgency, luring holders into connecting wallets to supposedly claim overlooked funds. The victim loses whatever assets are held in the connected wallet at the moment the malicious approval is granted.

Evidence

Four independent security vendors flagged bagsfumbled.co on VirusTotal out of 91 engines checked on 2026-09-25: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, and SOCRadar. While four detections is a relatively low count, the domain also appears on both the PhishDestroy and ScamSniffer blocklists, and has generated four OTX threat intelligence pulses, collectively providing consistent cross-platform confirmation of malicious activity.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-18 through NAMECHEAP INC, giving it a very short existence before being weaponized. It is hosted on Cloudflare's network at IP 188.114.96.3, with infrastructure located in the United States. The TLS certificate was issued by Google Trust Services under the WE1 authority.
