How the scam works

Fake shops like this typically list popular items at steep discounts to push a quick checkout. The checkout then captures card numbers, billing addresses and contact details. Orders either never ship or are swapped for worthless goods. Victims lose the purchase amount, and their stolen card and personal data can be reused for further fraud.
