PhishDestroy threat report
app-rocketpool.net poses as Rocket Pool, the decentralised Ethereum liquid staking protocol. Its page title reads "Rocketpool — Decentralised Ethereum Liquid Staking." The "app-" prefix is built to look like the official staking dashboard, so the page targets ETH holders who arrive expecting to stake or manage rETH. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07, and the site was still online and serving its content when checked on 2026-10-19.
Fake staking front-ends like this copy the look of the real dApp and ask the visitor to connect a wallet to stake. Once connected, the victim is pushed to sign a transaction, token approval or permit that hands control of their ETH or staking tokens to the attacker. Some versions also ask for a recovery phrase under the pretext of a sync or verification step. Any of these actions can let the operator empty the wallet, and on-chain transfers cannot be reversed.
17 of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. Spamhaus lists it in its domain blocklist under the phishing category. It also appears on MetaMask's warning list and the SEAL blocklist alongside PhishDestroy, so many wallet users will see a block screen before the page loads.
The domain was registered on 2026-04-28 through Fewmoretaps OU (Trustname.com), about five months before it surfaced as a live phishing page. That gap is consistent with a domain registered in advance and activated later. The site sits behind Cloudflare, with a front-end address geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it the browser padlock, but the padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
If you connected a wallet to app-rocketpool.net, use a revoke tool to check and cancel any token approvals or permits granted around the time of your visit. Move any remaining ETH and rETH to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you typed your recovery phrase into the site, treat that wallet as fully compromised and move funds to a new seed at once. Reach Rocket Pool only through a bookmarked official address. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to Cloudflare and the registrar for takedown.

An estimated time describes an observation window. It does not prove a registrar action or the exact moment a site became unavailable.
Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
