When users enter their username and password it is immediately exfiltrated to a server controlled by the threat actor, who then drains connected cryptocurrency wallets and steals session cookies for broader account takeover. The page is delivered over a valid Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate, making it appear legitimate at first glance. The domain resolves to 64.239.123.65, a hosting provider known for tolerating malicious content. This domain was flagged by 5 of 95 VirusTotal security vendors within hours of its appearance, indicating rapid recognition by the security community. VirusTotal’s telemetry shows the certificate was issued on 2024-06-03 and the domain is registered through a privacy-protected registrar that does not disclose creation date publicly. Threat researchers note that the domain contains the word “page” and “connect,” a common lure to trick users into believing they are accessing a secure Zapier integration or workflow page. If you visited page-connect.zapier.app you should immediately change your Zapier password using a different device or network, enable multi-factor authentication on all linked accounts, revoke any Zapier app integrations you do not recognize, and scan your system for malware.
