The domain hk-zoom.com.cn was a generic phishing site that posed an elevated risk of credential theft or malware distribution. It did not impersonate a specific brand but used Zoom-related branding in its page title to deceive users. The site is currently taken offline, though it was active long enough to be flagged by multiple security vendors.

Technical indicators confirm hk-zoom.com.cn as malicious. Three of 95 VirusTotal security vendors detected the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, and Gridinsoft. It appeared on three security blocklists (PhishDestroy, MetaMask, and SEAL) and was registered through Web Commerce Communications Limited on May 24, 2026. The domain resolved to IP address 154.26.224.195, hosted in the US under AS8796 (FASTNET DATA INC), and used an SSL certificate issued by Let's Encrypt (R12).
