Return to the investigation ↗Wiki category provenance (7,620 records · 46.7%): Parsed from Valve Developer Community (developer.valvesoftware.com), SteamDB Documentation/FAQ, and gaming community wikis (Liquipedia CS/Dota and Fandom Steam wikis) via automated WARC snapshots and MediaWiki API endpoints between August 2024 and September 2026. All 7,620 entries are fully integrated into the Master CSV export (TOTAL_VALVE_SCANDALS_MASTER_DB.csv).
This searchable archive was built on 2026-09-17 from the source exports listed above. The separate 40,448-row master export used elsewhere in the dossier has a different scope. See the build manifest for this archive’s counts; records can overlap and are not unique incidents.
The build and its source files
This archive merges 249 duplicate rows and excludes one row from 16,569 inputs, leaving 16,319 distinct records. A record can describe an event already covered by another record. Search covers titles, authors, source labels and displayed excerpts; full saved text opens with each record.
The bundle contains the recovered exports matching the build’s row counts and its three recorded JSON paths. The original build did not record input hashes or a master CSV path; the companion manifest documents the recovered files and the comparison with the published index.
Record fields, missing text and overlapping exports
Dates, ratings, categories and issue states reproduce the source exports. A missing URL stays missing. “[removed]” or “[deleted]” markers do not identify who removed a post or why. The Steam / Valve filter is a text match, not a relevance assessment.
“Export matches” downloads index entries with excerpts; “Download record” includes the full saved text. The separate 40,448-row master CSV and 1,690-row GitHub CSV are broader exports, not the source counts for this build.
