When unwary users enter their 24-word recovery phrase on this counterfeit site, attackers immediately gain full control of their digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies. The page uses HTTPS via a Let’s Encrypt certificate to appear legitimate, but the domain name deliberately mimics the brand name “Ledger” with a misleading suffix “-errstart,” hoping victims won’t notice the typo. All traffic is ultimately routed through IP 34.144.206.118, a Google Cloud address hosting multiple fraudulent services. This domain was flagged by PhishDestroy on May 15, 2025.
