PhishDestroy threat report
v3-sushiswap.org is an impersonation phishing page posing as SushiSwap, the decentralized exchange. The "v3" prefix targets traders looking for a newer version of the app. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-27. The site has been offline since 2026-09-12, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
The page title read "sushiswap-login.com", a login theme that makes little sense for a real DEX. SushiSwap has no accounts or passwords; you connect a wallet and sign transactions. Fake DEX pages like this usually push visitors to connect a wallet and approve a token spend or sign a message, which hands control of those tokens to the attacker. Some also ask users to type in a seed phrase to "verify" or "restore" access. Either path can empty the wallet with no way to reverse it.
Five of 90 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-06: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is low, but the stronger signals come from crypto-focused sources. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users with those protections would have seen a warning. Spamhaus classifies it as DBL_PHISH, and seven AlienVault OTX pulses reference it, showing several independent researchers tracked it.
The domain was registered through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu. It was hosted on the Omegatech LTD network in the United Kingdom. It used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser only meant the connection was encrypted, not that the site was genuine. The site went dark about two weeks after PhishDestroy first detected it.
If you connected a wallet to this site, review and revoke any token approvals granted around that time using a reputable approval checker. Move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. If you typed in your seed phrase, treat that wallet as fully compromised and move everything you can to a new wallet with a new phrase immediately. In future, reach SushiSwap only through a bookmarked official address. Defenders should block the domain and the related "sushiswap-login" naming pattern, and watch for lookalike DEX domains that use version prefixes.
