PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

usdc055.com is a suspicious domain on the PhishDestroy blocklist. Its name pairs the USDC stablecoin ticker with a number, a naming pattern that targets people holding or moving stablecoins. The page carried the title "onkeyon", which names no recognizable brand or service. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-09. Its provider has blocked the content, and the site has been offline since 2026-10-14, still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The domain has no confirmed scheme type, so the risk comes from what it shows. A crypto-themed domain built around a stablecoin ticker can be used to collect wallet connections, seed phrases or deposits from people who think they are on a legitimate USDC-related service. The "onkeyon" title gives no clue to the page's purpose and does not mention USDC, even though the domain name does. Anyone who reached the site should treat any wallet connection, signature or data they gave it as potentially compromised.

Evidence

Independent detection is thin. VirusTotal had only 1 of 92 engines flagging the domain on 2026-10-13, and that engine was LevelBlue. Apart from PhishDestroy's own listing, no other blocklist includes it. The domain appears in 4 AlienVault OTX pulses, which means other researchers have also linked it to threat activity.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2025-12-29, about nine months before PhishDestroy first saw it. That long gap means it was either held in reserve or active without being noticed. Its traffic ran through Cloudflare, with the edge address located in Canada, so the IP hides the origin server. The Google Trust Services certificate is a free, automatically issued type and says nothing about who operates the site.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to usdc055.com, check your token approvals and revoke any you did not intend to grant, especially for USDC. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, move your funds to a new wallet right away, because a revoked approval does not protect an exposed key. If you sent funds, record the transaction hashes and report them to your exchange or wallet provider. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and search logs for visits since 2026-10-09. They should also watch for similar usdc-plus-number domains.
