PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

trustblockcapital.com is an impersonation phishing site. Its name, built from "trust", "block" and "capital", borrows the language of crypto investment firms to target people looking for a legitimate place to put their money. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-29, and the site was still online and serving content as of 2026-10-19. The browser tab reads "New Private Tab", which says nothing about crypto or investing, while we classify the site as an impersonation phishing page.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites borrow the look and credibility of an established financial or crypto brand so visitors drop their guard. The page then asks for something of value: account logins, identity documents, a deposit into a supposed investment account, or a wallet recovery phrase presented as a verification step. Anything entered goes straight to the operators. Funds sent this way are usually gone for good, and stolen credentials are often reused against the victim's real accounts.

Evidence

Eleven of 91 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-10-01. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai, a mix of major and independent engines rather than a single outlier. urlscan.io rates the page malicious and matches it to a generic scam template. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so several separate research groups have independently reached the same conclusion.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-02-12 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, more than seven months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests a domain left idle or used quietly before this campaign became visible. The site is hosted in the United States on the FranTech Solutions network at 198.251.81.188. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

Do not deposit money or submit any information on trustblockcapital.com. If you entered a password, change it right away on the real service and on any account that shares it, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you shared a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a new wallet. If you sent funds, refuse any later request for "fees" to release them, and report the payment to your bank or exchange. Defenders should block the domain and the hosting IP at DNS and proxy level and add it to their phishing watchlists.
