stake-validator-tech.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page that uses Cloudflare branding. urlscan.io also detected Trust Wallet branding on it, and its staking-validator name points at crypto holders looking for staking rewards. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-07. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16, its content is blocked by the provider, and it was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Sites themed around staking validators usually offer higher yields or a technical setup step, then ask the visitor to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or type in a recovery phrase. A signed approval lets the operator move tokens out of the wallet. A recovery phrase hands over the whole wallet. The page title reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which matches Cloudflare's own warning interstitial, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-09-17, 11 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, among them BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Netcraft, Emsisoft, G-Data and alphaMountain.ai. That is a minority of engines, but it includes several major security vendors who reached the same conclusion independently. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and picked up Trust Wallet branding. The domain is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The project was created on Cloudflare Pages on 2026-07-28, about six weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap is typical of a free, disposable subdomain that is set up quickly and replaced once it is burned. It is served from Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. Because it lives on a shared platform, the takedown came as a provider-level block rather than the expiry of a registered domain.
What to do
If you connected a wallet here, review and revoke any token approvals you granted, and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything unfamiliar. If you typed in a Trust Wallet or other recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised: create a new wallet with a new phrase and transfer your assets right away. Be wary of follow-up messages promising staking refunds or recovery help, since these are a common second scam.
