secure-ledgr-app.pages.dev was a phishing page posing as Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets. It was titled "Ledger Live – Secure Crypto Management App" and aimed at people who keep crypto on a Ledger device. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15. It has been offline since 2026-09-23, the hosting provider has blocked its content, and it was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake Ledger Live sites exploit the fact that a hardware wallet is only as safe as its 24-word recovery phrase. The victim lands on what looks like the official app page, often through an ad, a search result or a fake support message. The page then pushes a supposed sync, update, verification or download step that ends with typing the recovery phrase into a form. Whoever holds that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty every account it controls, with no need for the physical Ledger.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the page malicious and identified Ledger branding on it. On 2026-09-21, 16 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged it, including ESET, BitDefender, Fortinet, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, ADMINUSLabs and Chong Lua Dao. That is solid agreement for a free-hosted page that stayed up only about a week after discovery. The domain also appears on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, so wallets and browser tools that use those feeds would warn users away.
Infrastructure
The project was created on Cloudflare Pages on 2026-08-22, 24 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That suggests it was set up in advance rather than launched the same day. Free pages.dev subdomains let operators borrow a trusted platform name and swap in a misspelled brand like "ledgr". The site was served through Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocated to Canada.
What to do
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a Ledger with a brand-new phrase and move any remaining funds to it immediately, because the old phrase cannot be revoked or changed. If you downloaded software from the page, uninstall it, scan the machine, and get Ledger Live only through Ledger's official channels. Remember that Ledger never asks for your 24 words. Defenders should block the domain, watch for similar pages.dev lookalikes using Ledger branding, and report new ones to the platform for takedown.
