registro-netflix.com is a phishing site that impersonates Netflix to target its subscribers. The domain combines the brand name with "registro" (Spanish for "registration"), and the page is titled "Portail client" (French for "customer portal"). PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-15, two days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and its content was reachable through a redirect.
How the scam works
Netflix impersonation sites usually reach victims through emails or text messages claiming a payment failed, an account is suspended or a membership needs renewing. The link leads to a page styled as a Netflix customer portal, here labelled "Portail client," that asks for the account email and password. It then requests billing details such as card number, expiry date and security code, sometimes followed by a one-time verification code. Victims can lose their streaming account and face fraudulent card charges, and the stolen credentials may be tried on other services where the same password is reused.
Evidence
On 2026-10-19, VirusTotal showed 6 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a low detection count, which is typical of a freshly registered phishing domain, so many security tools may not block it yet. Spamhaus DBL lists the domain as DBL_PHISH, and it is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-10-13 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu. It resolves to 45.139.104.212 on the 49.3 Networking LLC network in Germany. Its TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt (YE2), so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
Do not enter anything on this site. If you typed your Netflix password there, change it right away through the official Netflix app or by entering the address yourself, then sign out of all devices and change the password on any other account that uses it. If you entered card details, call your bank to block the card and dispute any unfamiliar charges. Treat follow-up messages about your account with suspicion.
