PhishDestroy threat report
pons-voting-xo.netlify.app is an impersonation phishing page dressed up as a Pons voting portal. Its page title, "Vote 0x88...9062 — pons", frames a wallet address as a ballot item to attract crypto users who expect to take part in a community vote. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-15. The site went offline on 2026-09-16 and was still dead with an empty root when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Fake voting pages use governance as the lure. A visitor sees what looks like a pending vote on a specific address and is asked to connect a wallet to cast a ballot. The "vote" is actually a request to sign a message or approve a transaction. That signature or approval can let the operator move tokens or other assets out of the wallet. A real-looking address in the title adds credibility, because it makes the vote seem specific and on-chain.
Wallet-security blocklists back the classification. MetaMask and SEAL both list the site alongside PhishDestroy, and these are the lists most likely to warn a user at the moment of connecting a wallet. Generic URL scanners flagged it less often. On 2026-09-17, VirusTotal showed only 3 of 89 engines flagging it: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and VIPRE. That low count reflects how briefly the page was live, not a clean bill of health.
The operator did not register a domain and used a free Netlify subdomain instead. This setup costs nothing and can be deployed in minutes, and this page lasted roughly a day between detection and going offline. Traffic was served from Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in Germany. The DigiCert certificate is Netlify's platform-wide certificate, so the padlock in the browser said nothing about who was behind the page.
If you connected a wallet to this page, check which approvals and signatures you granted, and revoke any token allowances you do not recognise using a reputable approval-management tool. If you signed anything and still hold assets in that wallet, move them to a fresh wallet whose seed phrase has never been exposed. If you typed in a seed phrase, treat the wallet as compromised and empty it immediately. Defenders should block the hostname and watch for similar voting-themed Netlify subdomains using the Pons name. Look-alike pages on free hosting platforms tend to reappear under slightly altered names.
