playblind.com presents itself as "PlayBlind | Zero-Knowledge Onchain Texas Hold'em", a crypto poker game played from a Web3 wallet. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at crypto users drawn in by the promise of private, provably fair onchain poker. We first flagged it on 2026-10-09, and it was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Onchain games give a fake site an easy reason to ask for a wallet connection: you have to connect to sit at a table, buy in or claim chips. On an impersonation page, that connect-and-sign step is the trap. The prompts can be token approvals, permit signatures or transfers that hand control of your assets to the operator, and once signed they can be used to empty the wallet without further interaction. Some versions also take deposits for a "buy-in" that never reaches a real game.
Evidence
Several independent sources back the classification. On 2026-10-13, 6 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but the wallet-focused lists that matter here agree. MetaMask and SEAL both block the domain alongside PhishDestroy, and Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as phishing. Three AlienVault OTX pulses also reference it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-07-10 through Hosting Concepts B.V. (Registrar.eu), about three months before it reached our blocklist. It sits on DigitalOcean cloud hosting located in the Netherlands, an inexpensive setup that can be moved or rebuilt quickly. The Let's Encrypt certificate only means the padlock appears in the browser. It says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
Do not connect a wallet to this site or sign anything it shows you. If you already connected and approved or signed a request, open a token-approval checker and revoke every allowance granted to unfamiliar contracts. Then move your remaining funds to a fresh wallet, because permit signatures can be used later. If you sent a buy-in or deposit, treat it as lost and ignore anyone who offers to recover it for a fee. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to the hosting provider and registrar for takedown.
