Overview

moonlitt.uk is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself as "Moonlitt — Liquidity, without the guesswork", a polished DeFi-style liquidity product aimed at crypto holders looking for yield. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11, one week after the domain was registered. The site has been offline since 2026-09-15, and its content was blocked at the provider level, which was still the case on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page title pitches easy liquidity provision, the kind of offer that invites a visitor to connect a wallet and deposit tokens into a pool. urlscan.io matched the page to a generic crypto brand profile rather than a single named project, which fits a lookalike DeFi front built to borrow trust from legitimate liquidity platforms. Sites like this typically ask the victim to approve token spending or sign transactions that hand control of assets to the operator, and some also prompt for a recovery phrase. Either way, whatever the victim approves or deposits can be taken.

Evidence

On 2026-09-14, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. These detections come from vendors with independent pipelines. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain is also listed by ScamSniffer, a crypto-focused blocklist, and it appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-04 through Cloudflare, Inc., and it was being flagged seven days later. That short lifespan is typical of disposable phishing domains. The site sat behind Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the real origin server. It used a free automated certificate from Google Trust Services, so the padlock said nothing about legitimacy.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to moonlitt.uk, use a token-approval checker to review and revoke any allowances granted around that time. Then move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer assets to a new wallet created with a new phrase immediately. Security teams should block the domain and watch for sibling "Moonlitt" or liquidity-themed domains appearing on new registrations.
